I am now looking in to other browsers but am pretty happy with FireFox

I started using Chrome as soon as it came out and haven't looked back since... After that I'd be more likely to use FF then IE8.

So is there a huge benefit in using FF in privacy mode or is it just the illusion of privacy?

sidenote check out "cometbird" thats actually light weight and good if u use it for porn only. has a built in flash recorder

i noticed Firefox's private browsing feature. i didn't even notice firefox had such a feature until just now lol. for Gizmoboost or anybody else interested, just go to the Tools menu, and select "Start Private Browsing"

on the internet, privacy is an illusion no matter how you look at it. if somebody (like law enforcement if you've been a bad boy lol) wants to find out where you're going and what you're doing bad enough, they will.
the advantage of private browsing is that any sites you visit while in private mode won't show up in your browsers address bar dropdown box, or in your history.

in contrast to the public opinion internet is not only a porn data base
So I could imagine that the "in private function" could be used for many other reasons than porn display....
However,....this function doesn`t delete all traces. There are better ways to conceal your internet porn sessions

Do you all only have one browser on your computer? I have three ie, firefox, chrome. Sometimes this helps if you need/ want to log in at boards with different names simultaneously.
