Here we go...one of my bestest girlfriends is having her birthday party this weekend and we're going to a local swing club here in Houston. My hubby and I plan on going and right now I'm having the WORST case of "Ugggh".

What I mean is, this club is great - it has private play rooms and hot tubs (with showers) and the people in the club get jiggy! But the club is always full of BEAUTIFUL people... know what I mean? The girls that are a size 2 and still complain that they have thick hips?

My husband and I went once before with friends from a BBW swingers group that we're in and a few of the ladies were in one of the back rooms playing. I was peeking in the voyeur window (which is really kinda cool) and a nice looking gentleman passed by and stopped at the window. He paused and said loudly, "Oh.. it's just fat chicks in there" and quickly walked away. I was so angry and so embarrassed for my friends. We left the club shortly after and haven't been back since.

I am NOT going to miss my girlfriends birthday, though! I'm trying to psyche myself up for it, because I'm not that bad looking and I can wear a corset pretty well, but sheesh. I definitely don't think there will be any 'jiggyness' going on for me. I don't need derogatory comments from shitty-assed passers-by.

I always feel out of place at these kind of clubs. Does anyone else feel like that about Swing Clubs?

Go and have fun. That guy should have been removed for making the comment he made. That's why a lot of single guys have problems at clubs. They show no respect then cannot figure out why no one will have anything to do with them.

I am a regular at swinger parties in my area...we don't have a club per say but we rent out entire hotels and have huge events about once a month. I am some what of a icon at these events...i have always been a super confident girl and i think this is shown because i get respect from most of the members. Being a bigger girl you have to show how confident and beautiful you are...much more than the average girl. I have been thanked by many BBW's in the group for helping them walk around with their heads high...this makes me very happy. Even though these words may hurt when you hear them, just keep in mind that it's the sad truth that society makes people think that bigger girls are lazy, and unattractive...all you have to do is look beautiful, walk with you head high and change their minds
That being said i had a moment like that at a recent meet and greet...we were selling some of our stuff in the back room, that including my "Big Butt Magazine" and "XL Girls Score Magazines" and i watched as some guys walked in the room, look over my magazines and saying comments like "Eww, that is so nasty" as they browsed the pages...did it hurt? Hell yea! Took me a little while to get myself back together, but i still walked around that meet and greet like i owned the place...you just have to carry yourself in a way that lets people know you know you are sexy and it doesn't matter what some of the others think...

Hey guys hope you don't mind a dude butting in but I found this thread very interesting particularly as my wife and I are planning our very first visit to a swingers club next saturday night. I have to say that our biggest fear is that it will be full of skinny people and we will look a bit out of place as we're both on the cuddly side. The good thing is that it's being organised by a swingers site so we'll all meet up beforehand which will no doubt go someway to breaking the ice and settling the nerves.

We both hope that there will be some plus sized people there to swing with as Mrs LC has been bursting at the seems (literally) to get her hands on a sexy BBW for her first girl on girl action for many a long year now. We hope that as larger people we don't get left on the sidelines as we are most definately going there to play.

Jade would love to go to one of your swinger parties if only just to see you in some sexy lingerie as you are an absolutely stunning looking woman. I'm glad you didn't let that fool's comments get to you too much as you are far sexier and way more beautiful than any skinny minny out there.

My group actually has a special BBW room now...the BBW community has grown...i use to be one of the only bigger girls who went to the parties, and now many do...it has turned into a very positive thing

I've never been to a swinger club.
What Jade mentioned makes sense.
And I think it could also be a problem with the kind of swinger club.
Louis Theroux made a great documentary about swinger clubs. Some of the clubs seem to put a lot of weight on appearances.
I bet there's nicer and friendlier clubs around, though.

We have been told by a few folk that have been before that this particular club is very friendly and relaxed but I suppose we're still a tad concerned that it is not one of those type of clubs that you mentioned.

I think everyone has a right to feel beautiful. Fat doesnt have to be ugly, it can be anything you want. I really wish people would stop being so concerned about stupid things, but I guess like Jade said, thats just how it is.
If someone has a problem with "fat people" you should just ignore them, they aren't worth your time anyway. I am sure a lot of those people who make comments are just insecure with themselves. Imagine those people lacking the confidence to be proud of themselves, they just need to use others as an outlet for their shame, as a guinnea pig so to speak.

Never been to one, but I have to think that all of them would be individual and their acceptance of all sorts of folks would vary by club. And your reaction should be just like at any other sort of club/bar/restaurant. You try it out. If you don't like it, write it off to experience. Tell the management why you didn't like your experience there. And unless they take steps to change to make it more comfy for you, just don't go back. It isn't about YOU. It's about THEM.

I was really very nervous the first time I went to a swing club to play! I had been before but never to play just go and watch. The couple that I play with would always respect me and close the door because I just wasn't that confident and kinda shy about the whole thing, but now? I couldn't give a rats patootie who saw me. When I have to go use the restroom, I just go, I walk across the room and go. Most all the people are there to get their groove on so they pay no mind. If someone stops by and watches, if they have thought anything negative, they haven't said anything. But of course if they did and we could identify them, the owners would have a thing or two to say as they were removing them from the club. That stuff isn't tolerated.

We always have a blast when we do go, we love trying new things.......

My husband and I help moderate a lifestyle group that's specifically for BBW's and the men that adore them. We have hosted house parties and done club takeover's before and it's a blast! I DO feel confident in that type of situation, because I know that the people there are very size accepting and wanna get jiggy with someone soft and curvy. It's the club situation that always throws me for a loop.

My hubby and I did go to the club Saturday. I had this cute lil skirt and thigh high boots outfit picked out to go with the top I had on. Part of the birthday group met for dinner and the ladies planned to change at the club. Stay with me... there's a point to all of this explanation. LOL

When we got to the club, the rest of the guests began to arrive - and talk about people thinking they're 'the beautiful people'. Not all of them, mind you.. but wow. I'd not seen so much naked flesh in person since I'd been to an SC bash. LOL There was only one other BBW there, besides me and when she was on the dance floor some people in our party who we had just met made unkind remarks about her. My brave hubby interrupted the couples and said he thought the woman was beautiful. THAT shut them up.

Most of the time, I am confident and feel really good about myself... but in that club with those people? I never even changed out of my blue jeans. I DID do some dancing, but ...<shrug> Maybe next time... lol

Oh! There's a club here in town that SEATS you where THEY think you should go. There are tables for 4 and 6 - and who you are seated with is based on how you look. Needless to say, we have never been to that club and don't plan on going.

My hubby and I are swingers. I ve never been to a swingers club. But have been to swingers events and parties. I must say the group I belong to are all mostly BBWs. I have fun. Dont let anyone else ruin your fun, they dont know what they are missing and they make comments because they are insecure about themselves!!

Well we've just had our first visit to a swinging club and I thought I'd let you know how it went.

Firstly the club was very clean and friendly and the staff just made you feel very relaxed. We were lucky we went with quite a few members from a swinging website which made the whole experience so much more easier to get used to the surroundings.

The club itself had a great wet area with sauna, plunge pool & jacuzzi although we didn't try any of that as Mrs Luvchubbs was wearing a very sexy ensemble which would have taken too much time to get on and off. There was a wide mix of people who attended ranging from the "beautiful" people done up to the nines to a group of sexy BBW's wearing only a towel. There was young and old, beautiful & not so beautiful and everyone all seemed very relaxed to be in the same place together.

Unfortunately we did not "play" with anyone else that night but we did go to the couples room and have sex in front of 4 other couples which was an amazing turn on and we both loved the thrill of having sex in front of other people. There was one couple and the girl was about 20 and so big & sexy I couldn't take my eyes off her as I fucked my wife who also loved watching this girl getting so much pleasure about 4 feet away from us. I got chatting to her in the lockers later and she was a lovely girl and told me she'd been swinging for years and she loved it. Wish I had plucked up the courage to ask her to meet us at the club for a future visit but I bottled it

We enjoyed it so much that we plan to return once the holiday season is over and done with and this time we will be that bit more daring as the wife is so desperate to have another woman and the sories we heard afterwards is that most of all that starts off in the wet area so we will definately be taking the plunge, in more ways than one, when we return to the club.

All in all it was a fantastic experience and one which we hope to repeat in the very near future. I felt comfortable all night and there was so many BBW's in the place that they outnumbered the skinnies

Well I think that those guys must not like women then. But seriously some of us aren't into the skinny girls but I don't think that most of us guys here would go out of our way to make them feel bad for not being our idea of beauty. Some people suck. But your attitude is pretty damn awesome. I think that you are a pretty damn cool person.

I've found that to be true 8 times out of 10. We're planning a trip back to the club in a few weeks. time to muster up some confidence, was hoping some of Jade's would rub off on me.

I love swing clubs, and i do often go to one here in the UK in Kent, its a lot of fun and i always feel at home there, mind you on my first first a long time ago i did feel like i stuck out and people were looking at me, but once i had a proper look about and saw other bbw's there and felt more at ease, then after going back a second time i was at home rightaway and now......years later i still feel at home and just love it !!
