So...

I created a new feature, the video gallery. It's all still experimental... so I cannot loose many words about it now. Mostly because I don't want to raise the hopes of the members...

In my opinion, a web 2.0 should have videos. Uploading works like a charm already.
But I have my doubts I can ever offer video uploads to all members of the Chubby Parade. That would consume too much bandwidth and I would not be able to afford it.

I noticed some members registered an account on the new video site.
Those accounts will have to stay pending for now. I can especially not let new members of the Parade upload videos at this time.

I could imagine using the new video site to upload videos to the member profiles in the future, though. Maybe I can even let some of the long-time amateur contributors of the forum and goldmembers into the beta and register an account to upload videos... If you are interested in uploading a self-made video, contact me via PM and register an account on video.chubbyparade.com.
I can't promise you that any video uploads will stay online indefinitely, though.
Also note that the new site is a competitive space. Users will be encouraged to give ratings on videos.

But I will have to first watch the bandwidth closely.

i hope this idea takes off! would be awesome if we could have a videos section on this site where members could upload their own amateur material and other content as well (ex. their favorite bbw porn vids). i understand the bandwidth/cost constraints though. and even having it as a separate site is a great idea.

Not sure where to go with this feature.
It is currently on hold.
Maybe I'll just use it for SEO purposes as an entry page.
Technically, exciting things are possible, of course.
My money constraints most likely prohibit me from going through with it, though.
Maybe I can integrate the video site. The number of videos per user would have to be restricted, though. That's why I have this idea of having one video for the profile video.
We'll see. It's not a priority on the list of things to do right now, though.

I was hoping it ONLY would be a homemade video section which containes only videos of members from CP.

I don't think that will be possible. It would be too expensive.

That's too bad.
So now it's just a videosection as you have many many others. It does not contribute anything to CP in my oppinion.
When you look at for example www.domywife.com then you see what I mean.
That is what I personally would like to see added to CP.

You are right. I see it like that as well. Currently it's just an entry page that might attract more people to the site.
That's why I have removed the links from the navigation menu.

Running such a site is potentially dangerous and could mess up the financial operation of the forum.

That is what I personally would like to see added to CP.

It takes substantial resources to create such a site, though. And to run it.

I know the webcam chat they are using.
It requires a streaming server, though ($4000)! That's totally out of reach for us.

The webcam thing is not an issue at the moment. Don't have to do that.
But for example like the domywife website but in a much smaller setup.
Maybe in the beginning limited uploads and movies not bigger then for example 5 or 10 mb.

What kind of movies would that be? 5-10 MB videos are tiny and must be of low quality.
Videos are about quality. Why should I want to run a site with crappy amateur videos? No, if videos are allowed, they need to be of a decent quality.

Ok, most of the videos on domywife are different in size. from 1,5 mb to 25 mb.
